Both Jewish tradition and the Labor Movement have taught us that liberation is realized through collective organizing against oppression. In Egypt, we were a group of oppressed laborers who found freedom by marching together. In the United States, we were key builders of the early American labor movement. Now, as the New England Jewish Labor Committee, we are fighting to build the power of workers through educating, mobilizing, and organizing the Jewish community to effectively advocate for collective liberation and economic justice.

NEJLC Members:

  • Decide on and win campaigns for social and economic justice. This year we joined workers on the picket line, taught our synagogues and communities about local economic justice issues, and fought for pro-worker legislation.

  • Support the labor movement and the Jewish community. Being a member means you care about workers, Jewish community, and building a better world.

  • Are invited to events and programming hosted by a community of Jews and workers to celebrate Jewish culture, organized labor, and fights for worker dignity.

  • Sustain this important work. Members' financial contributions to the JLC make our campaign work and community possible.
